Arlene S. Hirsch is the founder of Arlene S. Hirsch and Associates, a career and psychological counseling company in Chicago, Illinois. She is an expert in career psychology and has worked with a diverse population of individuals and organizations to address career planning, development, and management needs. She's also a senior lecturer at Northwestern University, where she teaches career psychology to graduate students.

Hirsch presents at numerous seminars and workshops and frequently appears on radio and television to discuss employment and workplace issues. She writes a Q&A column on entrepreneurship and small business issues for Startupjournal.com, a Dow Jones site.

Hirsch is a widely sought-after source on career happiness. Her media appearances include: MSNBC, CBS, ABC, Lifetime Medical Television, WBEZ, WFYR, and WGN. She has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Reader’s Digest, Chicago Tribune, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and Elle, among others.
